What makes preparing idlis such a hassle is the effort it takes to grind rice and urad dal into perfection. You have to soak them for hours, grind them until your mixer grinder heats up, then you have to let it rest overnight to make some authentic idli batter. Here is a easy hack to shorten this whole process. You can skip half the steps in batter-making with this method – by swapping rice and urad dal with pre-stored powders made of both. Check out this unique idli recipe.
